About Cathedral Gates

Cathedral Gates is the first residential development scheme offered by GCV and delivered by Homes by Carlton to provide investors with an opportunity to invest in the purchase of a single residential development site in Chilton, County Durham for development and sale of 14 residential units.

Homes by Carlton (Chilton) Limited (“SPV”), a special purpose vehicle, was set up to co-invest and develop the 14 high quality family homes.

GCV raised £0.4 million of equity investment to co-invest alongside private investors and the senior debt provider.

This investment opportunity has allowed each investor to participate in this residential development scheme (the “Project”) and share in the development profit.

The site is located in the North East of England, just eight miles from the cathedral city of Durham. The site was acquired with the benefit of detailed planning consent with the Project targeting a base case 1.5x multiple on money return.
